Job summary
The Intrepid Group is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to join our North American Marketing team. This role is responsible for building and deploying Intrepid Group emails in North America, including measuring and optimizing for performance. The successful candidate will think both analytically and creatively to segment our data and ensure that each email is engaging and relevant to our customers. This person will help innovate our email marketing and implement messaging that delights, informs, engages, and ultimately drives sales.
Who are you?
- 2+ years’ experience in email marketing.
- Experience working with ESPs, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Exact Target)
- Solid understanding of direct-response marketing, email best practices, user experience, email metrics and associated KPIs.
- Basic HTML experience required.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Excellent project management, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in web analytics, preferably Google Analytics.
- Strong data management skills, interpretive ability.
- Long term improvement focus, while maintaining flexibility in a rapidly changing work environment.
- The ability to prioritize, self-manage, and seek help when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passion/interest in travel.
What will you be doing?
- Execute and contribute to the development of the overall North American email marketing strategy with the Head of Digital Marketing, North America.
- Partner with the internal marketing and creative teams to deploy emails.
- Build, test, schedule and deploy email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud with heavy emphasis on customer segmentation and contact strategy.
- Develop and execute testing strategies using A/B splits and control groups to continuously optimize campaign performance.
- Explore segmentation strategies based on customer behaviour.
- Upload and welcome new leads from partnerships and lead generation activity to the email database.
- Proactively manage IP reputation and deliverability by using best practice sending behaviours and complying with global email send rules.
- Establish standard weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reports, evaluate, communicate results and make recommendations for further enhancements.
- Understand and continually evaluate website analytics and customer data/behaviour to ensure they are achieving KPI targets and to recommend future opportunities for messaging efforts.
- Represent the North American Marketing team in Global email meetings.
