As a Graduate Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders on exciting projects that help shape and connect our City and Community. The City has a range of Graduate Engineering positions available, including Civil, Electrical, Environmental and Mechanical. Our roles also extend into Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, providing you with a holistic perspective of the engineering industry.

The below positions sit within Engineering, Design and Standards and Infrastructure Delivery, offering flexible rotations across teams. These rotations are designed to broaden understanding of the City's infrastructure planning and delivery process and provide exposure to different technical disciplines:
Graduates will be placed in each area best aligned to their suitability (career goals, skillset, experience, qualifications), business availability and preferences outlined in their application. Who can apply?
To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a recognised bachelor's degree or post graduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program in February 2026. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program and be able to work full-time.
The Graduate Engineer welcomes graduates who have studied Bachelor Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Coastal), Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent and related fields.
If your engineering degree was completed at a University which was not part of the Washington Accord for any part of the period you studied, you will need to provide evidence from Engineers Australia that your qualification meets the same standard for your application to be considered.
