About the Position:
As our Clinical Practice Advisor you will provide expert clinical advice to staff, clients and their careers. As a subject matter expert this includes you will support the business with the application of policy and processes, championing knowledge sharing and best practice:
- Clinical leadership for all staff on aged care clinical practice and service delivery standards (for example, development of clinical practice support plans)
- Maintaining and appropriately managing the Clinical Helpdesk
- Providing monthly reporting on trends and recommendation for continuous quality improvement initiatives
The Clinical Practice Advisor will support the organisation through application of policy and processes in their functional team and sharing knowledge and information through coaching and collaboration within the business.

The Role Responsibilities
- Providing expert clinical advice to staff and clients and their carers
- Providing clinical leadership to all staff that facilitates the ongoing development of aged care clinical practice and service delivery assist e.g., development of clinical practice support plans
- Maintaining and appropriately managing the Clinical Helpdesk and providing a monthly report including trends and recommendation for continuous quality improvement
- Managing issues as they arise – escalate those outside of policy or precedence
- Implementing initiatives within the team to improve processes, efficiencies and client service
- Working with staff and clients to develop and achieve client care plans that are goals driven and client-centred
- Providing guidance and assistance to others, outside of their team, on the application of policy, process and problem solving relevant to their expertise
The Role expertise and qualifications:
- Division One Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners' Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Post Graduate Qualification in Aged Care or complimentary area are also Highly Desirable
- Minimum 5 years post registration experience and 3 years full time equivalent experience in the field of Aged Care Nursing or similar
- To work systematically and in an accurate manner
- Effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums including computer literacy
- Proficient in use of electronic technology including smart phones, tablets, laptops email, internet, client data management systems
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills with an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework
- Established holistic assessment skills and proficient practical skills
- Current CPR or willingness to obtain
