The Position

As our Senior Partner Clinical Governance, you will provide leadership in the development of clinical policy and procedure, interpretation and implementation of Aged Care Quality and other relevant healthcare standards . With proven experience implementing clinical risk management and quality frameworks you will make recommendations on improvement initiatives and strategic projects, taking a future focus to influence, educate, and deliver operational and strategic services.

 

About you:

 

With significant experience in Aged Care Nursing, you will be respected by your peers for your commitment to client care and knowledge of how health care for aged Australian’s is evolving. With a commitment to continuous improvement, you will know the benefit of quality systems to improving both the practice and outcomes of healthcare provision. You will have a track record of working effectively in cross functional teams to influence for the delivery of outcomes. Your natural style, to empower teams, to actively focus on the future, utilising your subject matter expertise to drive operational efficiency and educate the whole organisation on improvements.

 

Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

 

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 10 years post registration experience and 5 years full time equivalent experience in the field of Aged Care Nursing or similar with demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice Interest in health and well-being of older people and those living with disabilities in rural and remote Australia.
  • Desirable knowledge of the community aged care sector.
  • Demonstrated utilisation of well-developed analytical and clinical skills including ability to design, critically analyse and interpret clinical data to inform business decisions and investigate critical incidents
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills including computer literacy
  • Demonstrated utilisation of advanced auditing knowledge and skills to successfully gain and retain accreditation and monitor internal compliance.
  • Desirable auditing qualification.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the process of Quality Improvement and its importance to client outcomes, clinical practice and use of a QMS to monitor and deliver compliance Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and within a team and manage priorities
