We are currently recruiting for a new Support Worker to join our team based in Tweed Heads to provide domestic assistance (such as cleaning and meal prep), intimate personal care, social support, and implement health and wellbeing initiatives that support our clients. As a Support Worker, you will join our esteemed national team of community services professionals, dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence and well-being.
This is a casual opportunity with flexible working hours available from Monday to Friday. Due to clients needs in the area we do require services to be covered as early as 7am and as late as 7pm.
As this is a casual role the base hourly rate is $30.61 + 25% casual loading, along with 11.5% Superannuation and eligibility for not-for-profit salary packaging (providing up to $15,900 in tax benefits). Additionally, you will receive a travel allowance of $0.96c per km and paid travel time between services. A daily mobile allowance is also provided when using your own device for work-related purposes.
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of older clients in the Tweed Heads community.
- Providing support to elderly clients to enable them to stay independent in their homes
- Experience variety by visiting clients in their homes within Tweed Heads and covering surrounding areas
- Supporting clients with daily activities and tasks such as cleaning, shopping and, transportation to appointments.

Who We’re Looking for :
We are seeking compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated individuals who have a genuine passion for helping others with a key focus to provide high-quality person-centred care across all facets of support services.
To do so you will need to have the following:
- Understanding of and a passion for working with the elderly
- Minimum Certificate III Individual Support (or equivalent) is essential
- Medication assist module is highly desirable
- Ability to work and travel around Tweed Heads and surrounding areas (with travel up to an hour as required)
- Current driver's license
- Registered, reliable, and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
- Confidence in using different forms of technology such as a smartphone or tablet
- Flexible approach to your availability and open to being rostered within work hours of 7.00 am - 7.00 pm, Monday to Friday and some weekend shifts/
