Supervisor North

Applications are invited for the position of Supervisor North, based at Council's Ashford Works Depot.  The successful applicant shall be responsible for the satisfactory implementation of northern construction and maintenance projects and the supervision and control of all staff under the responsibility of the position.

Essential Criteria:

Qualifications

•    Certificate III in Civil Construction and satisfactory experience and knowledge in the relevant fields of operation;
•    Successful completion of an approved supervisors course 
OR
Suitable experience;
•    Class C Drivers Licence;
•    Traffic Control Work Training Card (SafeWork NSW) and/or Certification;
•    Implement Traffic Control Plans Certificate;
•    Copper Cable Location Certification; and
•    SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card (‘White Card’).

Skills and Experience

•    Experience in dealing with members of the public; and
•    Knowledge of information technology systems including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets and internet usage.

 Desirable Criteria:

  • Safe Work near Overhead Power Lines Certificate.

Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.  The classification for the position will be up to Administrative/Technical/Trades Band 2, Level 3, Grade 13.  Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,568.10 to $1,688.78 gross per week.
