Applications are invited for the position of Debtors Clerk, based at Council's Administration Centre. The successful applicant shall be responsible for the management and control of Council's Debtors and Water Billing System.

Essential:
Qualifications
- NSW Higher School Certificate or equivalent OR NSW School Certificate and satisfactory experience; and
- NSW Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent;
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a Customer Service Role, both in a face to face and a digital environment and a commitment to the highest level of professionalism;
- Experience with various computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel; and
- Experience in managing accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing and account reconciliations;
Desirable:
Qualifications
- Appointed as a Justice of the Peace or willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement with Council;
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem-soling skills including the ability to deal with a diverse range of customers in an empathetic manner;
- Demonstrated ability to perform data entry with attention to detail to ensure precision and integrity of data;
- Experience in Local Government; and
- Commencement. progression and/or completion of a course of study acceptable to the Director Corporate and Community Services.
Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The classification for the position will be up to Operational Band 1, Level 4, Grade 7. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,155.40 to $1,244.20 gross per week.
