Art Gallery Manager

Applications are invited for the position of Art Gallery Manager, based at Inverell Art Gallery.  The successful applicant shall act as Art Gallery Manager and co-ordinate the day to day activities of the Inverell Art Gallery and to supervise and develop arts programs and projects commensurate with the vision and aims of the Inverell Art Society under the guidelines of the ‘Delegation of Authority’ document prepared by Inverell Shire Council.

Qualifications:

  • Class C Drivers Licence.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in office administration and IT skills including spreadsheets, word processing, internet and e-mail;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including volunteers, members, artists and Council
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team recognising the abilities and skills of volunteers and utilising these skills to the best capacity of the Inverell Art Gallery; and
  • Demonstrated interest in, and commitment to art in the community.

Desirable:

  • Skills and experience in developing and delivering effective digital marketing;
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of Canva or other suitable graphic design software; and
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with financial record keeping, including but not limited to: receipting, reconciliations, monthly accounts, banking, online receipting.

Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.  The classification for the position will be up to Operational Band 1, Level 4, Grade 7.  Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,155.40 to $1,244.20 gross per week.
