Expressions of Interest are invited for the various positions of Relieving Operator, based at Council's Inverell Works Centre. The successful applicant shall be responsible for the satisfactory operation of any plant or vehicle on construction or maintenance work and general duties under supervision.

Essential Criteria:
Qualifications
- NSW School Certificate/ Record of School Achievement or acceptable education standard.
- Previously held National Certificate of Competency – Licence for load shifting equipment such as backhoe, excavator, front end loader and/ or front end loader of the skid steer type.
- NSW Class HR Drivers Licence.
- Traffic Controller Certificate or ability and willingness to obtain one.
- SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card (‘White Card’).
Desirable
- Trade Certificate in Plant Operation.
- Successful completion of a training course in the operation of heavy trucks conducted by a qualified driver assessor trainer.
Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The classification for the position will be up to Operational Band 1, Level 2, Grade 4. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,044.00 to $1,114.75 gross per week. In addition, a Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $0.498 per hour will be paid where applicable.
