About Children’s Services
Inner West Council operates 11 Long Day Care Centres, 2 Out of School Hours Care, an Occasional Care service, a Pre-School and a Family Day Care network. We currently have multiple vacancies for Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our professional and friendly Children’s Services team.
Our educators take pride in their Early and Middle Childhood Education profession. We adhere to the guidelines, practices and regulations surrounding the National Quality Standards (NQS) and regularly review Quality Improvement Plans and are implementing the Self Assessment Tool. We strive for excellence and all our centres are meeting or exceeding the NQF standards as rated by ACECQA.

The purpose of this role is to provide financial and general administrative support to the Children’s Centre Director. This includes administration of the wait list and applications for placements; relevant childcare subsidies; provision of fortnightly financial and operational reports on activity, utilisation and fees income; and assist in the process of child enrolments in the service.
As Administration Officer you will develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, Educators, community and stakeholders.
You will also contribute to a collaborative teamwork approach and work as an active member within the service team and wider Children’s Services team to ensure efficient and effective administration of the Service Unit as a whole, maintaining a high degree of collegiality.
We are offering a Temporary role that is Full Time and a Permanent Part Time role that is for 15 hours per week.

$58,478.68 - $68,166.80 + 11.5% Superannuation at Full Time hours.
$25,062.29 - $29,214.34 + 11.5% Superannuation prorated to 15 hours per week.
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, work both independently and collaboratively within the team and achieve agreed outcomes on time and to the agreed standards.
- Demonstrated experience of accurate financial monitoring, recording and reporting, including ordering and budgeting.
- Experience in the administration of Childcare Subsidy under the Federal Government’s ChildCare Package or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated skills and competency with Microsoft Office applications, accurate data entry and word-processing skills, including proficiency in CCS approved software packages and corporate software packages, such as Finance 1 or other related systems.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service including interacting and communicating effectively with children, parents, staff and other stakeholders, both internal and external.
