In the role of Trainee Project Officer (Construction), you will form part of a team that delivers high-quality construction and infrastructure projects. This is a unique role that will provide hands-on experience in project support and civil construction inspection. You will contribute to the development of our city’s infrastructure by supporting projects from inception to completion. 

  • Working collaboratively with our long-term partners that complete design, engineering and construction phases of our projects.
  • Learn about the early planning, design and commissioning of works to ensure constructability.
  • Providing regular updates relating to the progress of capital works projects, production rates, and daily status reports.
  • Follow procedures and work practices covering the various aspects of projects.
  • Assisting with administration of civil and engineering contracts.
  • Promoting safety within the workplace as well as maintaining a positive work attitude amongst crews.
  • Prepare project documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and construction standards.

Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the qualification and be able to work full-time.
