Start your journey with our exclusive 12-month immersive trainee and apprentice program then a further 18-month traineeship designed to unlock your potential (total 30 months). In the role of Trainee Project Officer (Construction), you will form part of a team that delivers high-quality construction and infrastructure projects. This is a unique role that will provide hands-on experience in project support and civil construction inspection. You will contribute to the development of our city’s infrastructure by supporting projects from inception to completion. 

• Working collaboratively with our long-term partners that complete design, engineering and construction phases of our projects.
• Learn about the early planning, design and commissioning of works to ensure constructability.
• Providing regular updates relating to the progress of capital works projects, production rates, and daily status reports.
• Follow procedures and work practices covering the various aspects of projects.
• Assisting with administration of civil and engineering contracts.
• Promoting safety within the workplace as well as maintaining a positive work attitude amongst crews.
• Prepare project documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and construction standards.

• Successful completion of Year 12  

Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the qualification and be able to work full-time.
