Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. We are currently looking for community based Registered Nurses to join our QLD team. Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Working with or under the guidance of medical practitioners and Allied Health professionals
- Medication Administration and Complex Clinical Care e. palliative care, bowel care/suppositories, catheter care, stoma care, oxygen and more
- Monitoring and communicating on the customer’s wellbeing and reporting on progress of customers
- Ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Care’s policy and procedures, legislative requirements and program specific guidelines (i.e. DVA Community Nursing)
- Providing training, coaching and guidance to Community Support Professionals, Enrolled Nurses and Support Staff/Case Managers as required
- Conducting skills assessments of Community Support Professionals performing complex care services as required
- Demonstrating a commitment to best practice and evidence of continued professional development
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training opportunities when required
- Opportunity to work both in the field with our customers, as well as, in the office managing the clinical oversight and development of clinical policies/procedures.
What you will need:
- APRHA Registered
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Current and satisfactory Federal Police Check, Yellow/NDIS Card
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred)
- Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the community care or health/aged care sector
- Understanding of DVA Community Nursing guidelines or previous community nursing experience
- Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
