Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. We are currently looking for Disability Support Professionals to join our NSW team. You can enjoy a flexible and balanced work life and support people in your community to live their best life possible.
The role:
This role involves travelling between customer’s homes and assisting them with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support. We have AM and PM, casual and part-time positions available to provide services to our disability customers in the Ballina area.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Prompting personal care
- Medication Prompting
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
- Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
What you will need:
- Minimum Certificate III or IV in Individual Support
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Training in Manual Handling and Medication Prompting
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Current and satisfactory Federal Police Check, Yellow Card & Blue Card
- Fully immunised against COVID-19
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, registered and comprehensive insured vehicle
- Smartphone with internet access
- The ability to confidently and consistently use technology for maintaining and responding to Just Better Care's requirements (Sign on, Intranet, etc.) on a regular, ongoing basis.
