We are currently looking for a Part-time Payroll Officer to join our Varsity Lakes office. If you are a well-presented, friendly person who has an eye for detail and a flair for working with numbers please keep reading.

As a valued member of the Finance Team you will support the Finance Supervisor in the day-to-day running of financial operations. This role is responsible for processing the weekly payroll with accuracy and attention to detail, processing weekly and monthly customer invoices as well as maintaining debtor ledgers within the organisations guidelines. 

The role:

  • Administer the payroll in order to ensure that employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process daily timekeeping in accordance with workplace agreement, award and legislation
  • Process payroll, update leave, prepare and review payroll summaries 
  • Respond to payroll and general account enquiries
  • Debtor reconciliation and management
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain debtors at levels set by the Franchise Manager
  • Create weekly/monthly invoicing
  • Effectively manage the invoicing process
  • Provide efficient and effective finance administration management by managing the filing, storage and security of documents
  • Assist with answering the phone actioning voice messages and respond to enquiries
  • Provide backup for all financial enquiries

What you will need:

  • Current and clear Criminal Record Check
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or similar
  • Experience in payroll and accounts receivable
  • Sound computer skills - MYOB / integrated financial software applications & Microsoft Office
  • Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and speed in data handling
  • Demonstrated attributes of drive and initiative, including an ability to work autonomously.
  • Extensive knowledge of the SCHADS Award
