We are seeking new team members to join us as a Support Worker to travel between customer’s homes and assist them with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support.

What you will do in your role:
- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
- Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
- Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
- Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
- Participating in staff meetings and paid training as required
Please note we often receive short services and frequent emergency bookings that we require our staff to cover around their regular, on-going and longer services. Domestic assistance (cleaning) is part of the role at times and we only want people that are willing to do this work as part of their roster.
What you need:
- Valid CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
- Working with children’s check (WWCC)
- NDIS workers screening check
- Experience with Hoist, Bowel Care, PEG feeding.
- Client prefers female
- Smartphone with internet access
- Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (preferred)
- Live in or close to our service regions
- ‘Can do’ attitude
