We are currently looking for a Finance Officer to join our Varsity Lakes office. If you are a well-presented, friendly person who has an eye for detail and a flair for working with numbers please keep reading.
The role exists to support the Finance Supervisor for the day-to-day running of financial operations. This role includes ensuring all accounts payable and receivable are managed effectively, weekly and monthly to achieve best practice financial compliance.
The role:
- Assist in the preparation of the budget
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements
- Process and payment of supplier invoices, ensuring data accuracy
- Verify charges, ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into systems
- Calculate Payroll Tax Payable and lodge in preparation for payment
- Prepare monthly figures for Income activity statement in preparation for lodgement
- Maintain computerised accounting system including financial files and records
- Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems
- Reconcile accounts payable and prepare journal summaries
- Reconcile accounts receivable
- Assist with entering sales journal
- Assist with receipting and third party invoices
What you will need:
- Current and clear Criminal Record Check
- Experience in accounts receivable
- Sound computer skills - MYOB / integrated financial software applications & Microsoft Office
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and speed in data handling
- Demonstrated attributes of drive and initiative, including an ability to work autonomously.
