Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. We are currently looking for Qualified Home Care Workers to join our Gold Coast team. The role:
This role involves travelling between customer’s homes and assisting them with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support.
Position available:
- Central Gold Coast-10-15 hours
- Southern Gold Coast/Tweed Heads- 10-15 hours
- Northern Gold Coast- 10-15 hours
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
- Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
- Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
- Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
- Provide updates on customer progress following each service
What you will need:
- Experience working in Aged Care / Disability or
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability Services
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
- Current First Aid certificate/CPR
- Current Australian Drivers License
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
- Smart phone with internet access
- Current Working with Children Check (preferred)
