Occupational Therapist Required for Community Aged Care and Disabilities Sector for Sunshine Coast

We are looking for dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our caring and dynamic team and provide high quality in-home support services to our valued customers. Entry level and recently graduated applicants are encouraged to apply.

Main responsibilities of the role:   
You’ll provide person centered functional and environmental assessments and interventions to promote independence and quality of life.  Working within the client’s home, you’ll have the opportunity to offer specialized equipment and pressure care strategies. 

About the Role:

• Managing a wide variety of client presentations across funding areas including Home care packages and NDIS
• Providing long and short term rehabilitation and group programs eg Parkinson’s disease and Falls prevention groups
• Providing simple and complex equipment prescription, and major and minor home modifications
• Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored

About you:

• Tertiary Qualifications and current AHPRA registration
• Previous experience within an Aged Care or Disability Sector
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
• Effective time-management and proven clinical problem-solving skills
• Disability Workers Screening Clearance (NDIS Worker Screening Check) or Criminal Police Check
• Current First Aid certificate/CPR
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Current Working with Children Check Preferred (Blue card)
