Just Better Care is a trusted provider of in-home aged care and disability support services across Australia. We’re currently seeking Support Workers to join our QLD team in the Gympie region.
We offer casual and part-time roles, providing flexibility to support a healthy work-life balance while helping others live independently and comfortably in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building positive relationships and engaging conversationally with elderly clients
- Providing personal care, including showering, grooming, dressing, and medication assistance
- Assisting with domestic tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Offering social support and transport for shopping, social outings, and medical appointments
- Supporting clients in using mobility aids and personal equipment (e.g. hoists, wheelchairs, walking frames)
- Working with customers who have complex needs, including Dementia or Mental Health challenges
- Monitoring and reporting on customer well-being and progress
- Attending staff meetings and ongoing training
- Working both independently and as part of a small, supportive team
What You’ll Need:
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support, or Home & Community Care (preferred)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Federal Police Check, Yellow Card, and Blue Card
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance preferred)
- A smartphone with internet access
