Job No:

Location:
Bundaberg
Do your best nursing outside of a hospital.
If you're an experienced RN who loves the clinical side but is ready to step into something with more leadership, coordination, and real community impact, we want to hear from you.
Whether you're looking for part time hours that give you balance, or a full time role where you can grow into clinical leadership, we'll shape this around the right person.
At Just Better Care Bundaberg, our Registered Nurses aren't just clinicians. They're the clinical backbone of our operation, guiding our support teams, ensuring care standards are upheld, and making sure every client gets the right care, delivered the right way.
What this role is really about
Yes, you'll carry a clinical caseload. But the heart of this role is leadership and quality assurance:
Clinical oversight - monitoring client wellbeing, reviewing care plans, and keeping GPs and allied health professionals in the loop
Team mentoring - coaching and upskilling our Community Support Professionals and Enrolled Nurses, and conducting skills assessments for complex care delivery
Documentation and compliance - ensuring all care records are accurate, timely, and meet legislative and professional standards
Quality improvement - applying continuous improvement principles and contributing to best-practice service delivery across the team
Stakeholder coordination - working closely with our Care Partners, allied health, and medical practitioners to keep care seamlessly connected
This is a role where your judgement, experience, and clinical leadership genuinely shape how we operate.
Who you are
You're a confident, organised RN who communicates clearly, takes ownership, and understands that great community care is as much about coordination as it is clinical skill. You'll be comfortable:
- Working independently across client homes in the Bundaberg region
- Leading and supporting a team of support workers
- Keeping meticulous records using our digital care platform
- Problem-solving on the go and knowing when to escalate
What you'll need
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle (essential)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proof of working rights in Australia
- COVID-19 vaccination (where required under state health orders)
- Experience supervising staff or in a clinical leadership capacity (highly regarded)
- Background in community, aged care, or disability services (preferred)
Why Just Better Care?
We've been delivering in-home aged care and disability support for over 15 years. In Bundaberg, we're building a team that's genuinely passionate about keeping people independent and connected to their community and we want an RN who shares that vision.
