Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. We are currently looking for Community Support Professionals to join our Brisbane South/East team. You can enjoy a flexible and balanced work life and support people in your community to live their best life possible.

The role:

You will make the most of your own passions to help our clients bring their personal goals and projects to life. As part of a team focused on delivering great experiences, you will support and assist our clients to do what they love, help create household routines, support clients in social environments, aid with personal care, perform domestic duties, travelling between customer's homes and provide all-round high quality care. All while ensuring the Client always feels safe, respected and supported. 




Duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
  • Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
  • Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
  • Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
  • Experience supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs/behaviors (preferred)
  • Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
  • An emphatic, reliable and kind person to share experiences and achievements with their clients
  • Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required


What you will need:
  • Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (required)
  • Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Current and satisfactory Yellow Card & Blue Card
  • Current Australian Driver’s License 
  • Reliable, Registered and Insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required)
  • Smartphone with internet access
  • Availability to work flexible hours, typically 6pm - 8am (sleepovers), with the willingness to work within a 24/7 rotating roster when required, including overnight & weekends (essential)
