We are seeking Enrolled Nurses to join the friendly and supportive team at our Juniper The Residency Residential Aged Care Facility in Northam. Juniper the Residency is a 45 bed facility that prides itself on a homely atmosphere and community feel. Ongoing close relationships are built between long-term staff, residents, their families, and the local community.
Whilst working as an Enrolled Nurse you will provide professional nursing care for residents within the scope of your Enrolled Nurse registration. You will provide guidance and supervision to care staff; ensuring person-centred care principles are embraced and embedded during service provision to residents. Whilst working in this rewarding role you will assist with the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in the Residential care setting.
There are full-time positions available at The Residency working up to 75 hours per fortnight. Applications are welcome from candidates available for part-time work. To be considered for part-time you must be available for at least two shifts each week. These positions require shift work with morning, afternoon and night shifts available across the seven days of the week.
Shifts and contract hours will be negotiated with successful candidate(s).
Key Responsibilities of this role:
- Provision of clinical care to residents according to care plan
- Safe administration of medications
- Completion of required documentation
- Carer support and supervision
- Compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management
The successful candidate must meet these selection criteria:
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
- Previous experience in aged care - desirable
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards
- Understand the principles of Occupational Safety and Health in a health care setting
- Strong communication, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills and team work
- Excellent time management
- Received at least two covid-19 vaccinations and have had, or willing to obtain, influenza vaccination annually
