- We are currently seeking to appoint a kind and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the Allied Health team at our Juniper John Bryant aged-care facility in Marangaroo. As an Occupational Therapist with Juniper, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments, contributing to care plans and providing appropriate treatment and advice to residents. You will need to model a compassionate manner with people, demonstrating leadership qualities and clear communication methods. This is an interesting and busy role that will require an ability to plan your day well and manage priorities.

The successful candidate will be offered a permanent part-time position available on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexible start and end times, and the opportunity to pick up additional hours as required.
Key Responsibilities of this role:
- Assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating individual and group Occupational Therapy needs
- Implementing mobility programs to meet individual needs of residents
- Contributing to the team development, implementation, review and evaluation of Occupational Therapy care plans
- Supporting the maintenance or restoration of the residents’ independence
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication with residents
- Supervision and effective leadership of Therapy staff
- Maintaining accurate resident information
- Responding to the requests and concerns of families and other carers
- Organisational Representation
- Ensuring compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience required:
- High level of verbal and written communication skills which is effective and consistent with the core values and guiding principles of the organisation
- Interpersonal, effective time management and planning skills
- Ability to be an effective member of the organisational team whilst retaining ability to work autonomously
- Excellent computer literacy and competency in electronic care systems
Essential Criteria:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
