We are currently seeking to recruit patient, customer service orientated Multiskilled Carers to partner with residents, enabling them to fulfil their daily living, social and emotional needs at our Hillcrest aged care home, located in Geraldton.

In this role you will provide person centred care and communicate with residents in a manner that enhances their quality of life, ensuring that they feel welcome and respected at all times. It will be important that you embrace Juniper's core values and follow our policies and procedures.  

On offer for the successful candidate will be a casual position. 

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Provide assistance to residents with their hygiene needs including; bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming and personal care.
  • Support the maintenance or restoration of residents' independence by providing assistance to engage in activities of interest and use mobility aids where required.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation and report information to relevant Nursing, Allied Health and Management as required.
  • Maintain effective communication in the workplace, being respectful, open to change and kind in your approach. 
  • Assist residents with the administration of correct medication in accordance with Juniper policies

 The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent / Cert III Aged Care) or relevant experience in the industry. 
  • Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • An understanding of aging and dementia
  • Awareness of AN-ACC (desirable)
  • Experience working within a person centred, enabling environment
