Juniper Ella Williams, situated in Noranda, is a long-standing facility with 66 beds. Our homely atmosphere provides comfort to residents, including those living with dementia who require specialised support. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff. 

Your Role:

As a Registered Nurse with Juniper, you will be responsible for assessing residents' needs, in conjunction with other healthcare professionals, and for the planning, implementation and evaluation of residents' care plans. Demonstrated experience in the mentoring and supervision of care staff and the awareness of AN-ACC required assessments. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual passionate about this vocation to join the team. The ideal candidate should be available to work unplanned leave.On offer is a casual contract.

One successful candidate will be offered a Part Time position, working every Thursday and Friday from 9:15PM - 7:15AM.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Develop and implement resident care plans
  • Address family and carer requests and concerns in coordination with the Residential Manager
  • Apply expertise in aged care documentation
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality resident care
  • Supervise and enhance the performance of care staff
  • Identify training needs for clinical and care staff in collaboration with the Residential Manager
  • Ensure adherence to aged care standards

Key Requirements:

  • AHPRA Registration 
  • 6 months of experience (minimum) as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting 
  • Strong planning and coordination skills in care delivery
  • Ability to guide staff in wound and diabetes care
  • Sound understanding of medication systems
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
