The Role:

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing residents' needs, in conjunction with other healthcare professionals, and for the planning, implementation and evaluation of residents' care plans. Demonstrated experience in the mentoring and supervision of care staff and the awareness of AN-ACC required assessments. 

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual passionate about this vocation to join our Relief Team. The ideal candidate should be available to work Monday to Friday and have the flexibility to cover planned and unplanned leave across 14 residential sites in the Perth Metro area

The successful candidate will be offered a casual position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement resident care plans
  • Address family and carer requests and concerns in coordination with the Residential Manager
  • Apply expertise in aged care documentation
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality resident care
  • Supervise and enhance the performance of care staff
  • Identify training needs for clinical and care staff in collaboration with the Residential Manager
  • Ensure adherence to aged care standards

Key Requirements:

  • Current WA Driver Licence + reliable car
  • Unlimited Working Rights
  • AHPRA Registration 
  • Minimum 12 months of experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting 
  • Understanding of AN-ACC documentation
  • Strong planning and coordination skills in care delivery
  • Ability to guide staff in wound and diabetes care
  • Sound understanding of medication systems
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
