The Role: 

As a Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist to deliver high-quality therapy services. In this role, you will share responsibility for the well-being of clients and actively contribute to the development and implementation of programs that address their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs. By enabling and empowering individuals to maximise their abilities and participate as they choose, you will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for those accessing aged care services with Juniper.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual passionate about this vocation to join our Relief Team. The ideal candidate should be available to work Monday to Friday and have the flexibility to cover planned and unplanned leave across 14 residential sites in the Perth Metro area

The successful candidate will be offered a casual position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with group and individual cognitive activity programs
  • Contribute to evaluating care plans
  • Develop and implement activity programs addressing physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs
  • Support therapists in maintaining/improving functional independence
  • Record therapy statistics daily
  • Provide feedback to therapists on intervention outcomes

Key Requirements:

  • Current WA Driver Licence + reliable car
  • Unlimited Working Rights
  • Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a Therapy Assistant in an aged care setting
  • Experience in the Aged Care Industry, community or residential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, residents, families, and service providers
