About the role:

Juniper is recruiting for a solution focused Risk and Internal Audit Manager to join our dynamic Governance and Quality Improvement team based at our Central office located in Balcatta. This is a full time position working 75 hrs a fortnight, during core business hours. The Risk and Internal Audit Manager plays a pivotal role in our organisation, responsible for assessing current risk practices and implementing best practices across the entire business, you will lead and oversee Juniper’s incident management system (IMS), process and practice.

You will lead and oversee internal audit contracts and deliverables and continue to develop our approach to risk management. We are looking for a leader that can collaborate extensively with various teams to ensure that risk and incident management and audit compliance is integrated into all aspects of the organisation, providing comprehensive approach for decision-making, operations, and corporate service areas.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assessment of current risk practice and develop and implement best practise enterprise-wide risk management framework in line with industry best practices.
  • Ensure Incident Management System (IMS) and processes are reviewed and established to better support a customer centric approach, ensuring all users have confidence in accessing and using the system and data is readily available.
  • Establish key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate performance through a risk-centric perspective. Developing strategies to mitigate risks affecting the quality of care and service delivery.
  • Prepare detailed and insightful reports on risk trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to manage and lead internal audit contracts, ensuring deliverables are met in a timely and comprehensive manner, as part of risk management and quality improvement.
  • Implement standardised methodologies and tools to facilitate efficient and thorough audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in risk management, risk assessment and implementing risk management strategies
  • Proven experience in incident management processes and systems, including internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in developing audit strategies and methodologies for managing audits related to compliance and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough reviews of an organisation's existing risk management practices, identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations 
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed audit reports, analysing findings, and presenting recommendations to senior management stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management and audit principles, methodologies and best practices, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring
  • Leadership skills to lead the implementation of risk management and audit initiatives, and guide teams in risk-aware decision-making
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field (Business, Administration, etc.) - highly desirable.
  • Clinical expertise greatly valued.
