About the role:
We are seeking Enrolled Nurses to join the friendly and supportive teams at our Juniper Bethavon Residential Aged Care Facility in Northam and our Juniper The Residency Residential Aged Care Facility in Northam. Juniper Bethavon is a 33 bed facility and Juniper the Residency is a 45 bed facility. Both sites pride themselves on a homely atmosphere and community feel. Ongoing close relationships are built between long-term staff, residents, their families, and the local community.
Whilst working as an Enrolled Nurse you will provide professional nursing care for residents within the scope of your Enrolled Nurse registration. You will provide guidance and supervision to care staff; ensuring person-centred care principles are embraced and embedded during service provision to residents. Whilst working in this rewarding role you will assist with the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in the Residential care setting.
There is part-time work available at both our Juniper Northam residential sites, with up to 60 hours per fortnight on offer for the successful candidate(s). This role involves shift work with morning, afternoon and night shifts across the seven days of the week. Shifts and contract hours will be negotiated with successful candidate(s).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of clinical care to residents according to care plan
- Safe administration of medications
- Completion of required documentation
- Carer support and supervision
- Compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements
Key requirements:
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
- Previous experience in aged care - desirable
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards
- Understand the principles of Occupational Safety and Health in a health care setting
- Strong communication, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills and team work
- Excellent time management
