About the role:

We are currently seeking a Systems Accountant to join our Finance team, based at our central head office in Balcatta. In this role, you will work closely with both the Finance and IT teams to ensure the optimal performance and continuous improvement of our financial systems. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team while playing a key role in managing and upgrading Juniper’s financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain the chart of accounts and administer system design and controls.
  • Troubleshoot and assist the Finance team with queries related to financial systems, including Epicor (CRM), ARM (Accounts Payable/PO Software), Prophix (Financial Reporting), and others.
  • Manage system upgrades and improvement projects in collaboration with the IT team.
  • Lead testing and UAT cycles, ensuring smooth rollouts of new systems or upgrades.
  • Design and implement internal system controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Provide training to finance staff on system use and procedures.
  • Ensure that the financial information repository on Juniper’s SharePoint is current and meets the needs of finance subgroups.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in commerce, business, accounting, IT, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role, is required.
  • Experience with Epicor is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Proven track record of leading system implementation projects.
  • Solid experience with project delivery and an understanding of the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to train and support finance staff.
  • Aged care and/or not-for-profit sector experience is highly advantageous.
