About the role:

We are seeking a Community Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive Home and Community Care team in the Goldfield region covering the town of Hopetoun. Hopetoun is located approximately 590 kilometres south-east of Perth.

Our Juniper Home and Community Care team provides community based care programs that assist our aged customers to continue to live independently in their own homes. Renowned for our commitment to the delivery of person centred care and best practice in relation to the provision of quality care, you will be working in a supportive environment that encourages initiative and leadership.

Whilst working in this rewarding role you will support the Community team in providing meals to home care customers.  This role will involve the preparation and cooking of food, cleaning of equipment and application of safe food hygiene practices.  Candidates with a relevant qualification will be viewed favourably, although we can provide training for a suitable candidate. This position is being offered on a permanent part-time basis with a contract of up to 20 hours on offer for the successful candidate with work to be conducted on weekdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food and appropriate cleaning
  • Meal delivery
  • Adherence to Client Care Plan 


Key Requirements:

  • Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable car - essential
  • Trade certificate, equivalent qualification or experience in commercial cooking environment and/or aged care catering - desirable
  • Understand documentation and relevant aged care legislation
  • Understand principles of Occupational, Safety & Health and correct manual handling
  • Verbal and written communication skills
