About the Role:

We are seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract with the view to transition into a permanent full-time role. In this position, you will be the central resource for all employee relations, industrial relations, and employment law matters at Juniper. You will provide expert guidance on employment law and compliance, ensuring best practices in a constantly evolving legal landscape. This role also involves conducting complex workplace investigations, developing leader competency in employee relations, and providing expert remuneration and benefits advisory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist advice on employment law, relevant agreements, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead and advise on complex workplace investigations and employee matters.
  • Develop and mentor leaders and stakeholders in employee relations.
  • Provide expert advisory on remuneration, benefits, and compliance with employment law.
  • Lead and deliver on people and culture projects.
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and Juniper’s policies.
  • Attend conciliation conferences with the Fair Work Commission as required.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration or HR highly regarded).
  • Extensive experience as a senior HR professional in a complex organization, with advanced expertise in investigations, advocacy, and negotiations.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Australian industrial relations system, including legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and common law.
  • Proven ability to coach and guide colleagues and senior leaders, with strong communication, mediation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong negotiation, mediation, and stakeholder engagement skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the aged care sector is highly regarded.
