About the Role:
We're on the lookout for caring and customer-oriented Kitchen Hand to join our team at Juniper Bethshan located in Katanning. A cozy 26 room residential home that combines original charm with modern facilities.
As a Kitchen Hand, your main responsibilities will include food preparation, ensuring smooth meal services, and maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate will be available to work all required shifts.
Saturday: 7:30am - 10:30am and Sunday: 15:30pm - 19:00pm
There is the ability to pick up extra shifts across other Juniper Weatbelt sites*.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Assist in food preparation, portioning, and serving
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas and equipment
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Follow Juniper's Occupational Safety and Health policies
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in commercial cooking or aged care environments
- Familiarity with food handling practices and hygiene standards
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling procedures
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Working rights in Australia
