We are seeking a Part-time Key Worker/Business Support Officer to be part of the Key Assets team in a new dual role. One part will be supporting the team with administrative functions and the other will be supporting the carers by way of direct support with our children and young people with varying complex and challenging needs.   You will be part of a vibrant, energetic, and highly professional team committed to making a positive and lasting difference to the lives of children and young people.  We are also very supportive and welcoming – this is a great place to work!

About the role 

As the Key Worker/Business Support Officer you will take a lead role in the provision of a comprehensive and flexible support service to Foster Carers, Ability Carers, and children and young people in the South West. The other side of the role will require you to provide administrative support to the Key Assets South West team.

The positon is based in Bunbury and the working days are Tuesday to Saturday.

 

The successful candidate will

  • Deliver on aspects of individual care plans for the Children and Young people you will support
  • Assist with the co-ordination and supervision of the team of casual support workers, including mentoring and providing feedback to the Support Coordinator.
  • Take a lead role in delivering school holiday activities for small groups.
  • Provide transport for children/young people to appointments and activities.
  • Develop partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Agencies within the region
  • Maintenance of the KA database, Keeping records up to date and accurate, including records of Support Worker hours worked and reports on contact
  • Be compliant with Key Assets Business Policies & Guidelines, Child Protection and Child Safe Procedures, Better Care Better Services Standards, and the National Standards for Disability Services and Safer Caring Guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support to the Key Assets South West Team

HOURS: Full Time = 37.5 hrs/wk, flexibility is required due to travel (as some positions will work and travel within the community), 'Casual' - Hours are needs based. Hours are also not consistent / regular at times.

COMMENCEMENT: Occurs when all statutory and personal checks have been satisfactorily completed. Departmental checks may take up to 28 business days to process which can cause delays in commencement.
