COMPONENT REBUILD SUPERVISOR

About the role

Kings Engineering, a leading NSW engineering business, has an opportunity in their Rutherford workshop for a Component Rebuild Supervisor.

This combined leadership and hands-on role will provide effective supervision and leadership for the Component Rebuild Team, whilst gaining further growth in a successful company. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing a high-quality and timely component rebuild service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide leadership to the team to deliver quality work safely, on-time and on budget
  • Manage customer requirements with job scopes, pricing and reporting
  • Communicate amongst departments to allocate labour to meet demands
  • Manage WIP, from job creation to invoicing
  • Foster a safe working environment by supervising the team and identifying improvement opportunities to minimise risk
  • Promote Kings Quality Management System and drive performance within the workshop
  • Provide technical advice and support to the team
  • Provide expert guidance to other departments on projects
  • Mentoring of Apprentices
  • Be a valued member of the Kings Management Team

Essential Criteria

  • Australian recognised Mechanical trade qualification (Plant Mechanic / Fitter)
  • A minimum of 5 years post trade experience working as a Plant Mechanic / Fitter with heavy earth moving equipment
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Supervisor for minimum of 3 years
  • Experience in failure analysis on Caterpillar components, or similar OEM
  • Proficient in the use of SIS (or equivalent)
  • Experience in working to budgets and capital cost expectations
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and a “team-oriented” approach to the achievement of tasks
  • Proficiency in maintenance planning software
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to positively communicate both written and verbally to all levels of Management and workforce
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence

Desirable Criteria 

  • High Risk WorkCover tickets such as C6 Crane (60T), Dogging, and Forklift
