BUSINESS SUPPORT OFFICER

About the role 

The Bloomfield Group are seeking a Business Support Officer to provide superior service and support to customers to ensure a seamless experience and customer satisfaction is maximised. This role will play a crucial role in providing assistance to both internal and external customers, addressing their inquiries, providing quotations, and delivering timely resolutions.

The successful candidate will provide superior service and support to internal stakeholder’s to ensure a seamless experience and customer satisfaction is maximised and will facilitate the efficient processing of customer orders by collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, and work directly with OEM partners to ensure compliance with contractual agreements. This role significantly contributes to achieving sales targets, strengthening customer relationships, and fostering organisational growth.

We are looking for someone with a strong working industry knowledge and experience including understanding of product and service offerings who can also deliver prompt and effective support to our customers 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver prompt and effective support to business stakeholders to address customer inquiries, quotations and issues related to our products through various communication channels. Facilitate the efficient processing of internal and external customer orders
  • Undertake a range of administrative duties to support the business and team including but not limited to document editing, sales quotations, job management and document management
  • Assist with preparation of project specific documentation including  customer workscopes, schedules and registers
  • Assist the purchasing team with purchasing, receipting, recording and warehousing tasks
  • Develop and generate consignment statements specifically tailored for OEM partners, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with contractual agreements
  • Assist in lead generation activities by conducting market research, producing and distributing product flyers and promotional materials
  • Stay informed about industry trends, advancements, and changes to our portfolio to adapt and enhance support and sales strategies accordingly

 Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in an  administrative role within a workshop or manufacturing environment, including exposure to job management,  generating quotations and proposals tailored to customer requirements
  • Sound working industry knowledge and experience including understanding of product and service offerings
  • Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office suite of programs with proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience in sales, generating consignment statements, especially for OEM partners (desirable)
  • Previous experience in inventory control in warehouse or industrial environment (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven experience in working collaboratively with others and independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders
  • Experience in directly interacting with customers, addressing inquiries, and providing a positive customer experience
  • Working knowledge of order processing procedures, logistics, and collaboration with internal teams for order fulfilment
