About the role

Kings Engineering has an exciting opportunity in its team for an Electrician, with experience in maintaining heavy earthmoving equipment.

The successful person will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing high quality and timely maintenance service to a wide spectrum of engineering services including Mining, Transport, Construction, Rail, Tunnelling and Infrastructure, and Manufacturing industries. The role involves the operation, maintenance, or repair of surface mining equipment, road headers and fixed equipment and assets.

The Work

  • Deliver safe, effective, and efficient electrical maintenance services to customers.
  • Achieve required targets with safety as the top priority.
  • Provide maintenance and breakdown support for both mobile and fixed plant.
  • Assist with electrical projects as required.
  • Conduct quality inspections of machinery and document in accordance with legislative and operational requirements.

What You Bring

Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices and hold a valid Electrical Trade Certificate along with a NSW Qualified Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate. Experience in the maintenance and overhaul of heavy earthmoving equipment is required. Candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively within and between work teams, demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and hold a current valid NSW Driver’s Licence.

Applicants with automotive electrical experience are encouraged to apply.

Ideally you will have a good understanding of electrical standards and a strong focus on quality assurance. Experience in the maintenance and/or overhaul of underground mining equipment and roadheaders is also advantageous. Additional qualifications such as Low Voltage Rescue Training and a current First Aid certificate are beneficial.
