Archives and Records Information Management Officer

We currently have an opportunity for an Archives and Records Information Management Officer to join the Records team. As an Archives and Records Information Management Officer you will get to assist Council’s Records Information Management Coordinator in the efficient and effective operation of Council’s Records Program in accordance Council policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

What we offer...

  • Temporary full time, 35 hours per week until 30 June 2025.
  • Annual salary from $58,730.36 to $70,768.88 (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience) 
  • Plus 11% superannuation 

What you'll need to be successful in the role...

  • Certificate III in Recordkeeping and/or 2-4 years experience in a formal recordkeeping environment working with complex records and information management systems, and/or complex filing systems.
  • Solid experience in and knowledge of sentencing, transfer, archiving, digitisation and disposal of records.
  • Experience working with the NSW State Records Act, General Disposal Authorities & Records and Information Management Standards.
  • Excellent organisational / project management skills with a proven ability to manage conflicting workloads and deadlines.
  • Experience in the use of an EDRMS (Electronic Document and Records Management System).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and use initiative to solve problems.
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes of paper files, undertake physical filing and work within confined storage spaces
