We currently have an opportunity for a Casual Swim Instructor to join the team at Kiama Leisure Centre. As a Swim Instructor you will get to: 

  • To plan, teach and promote swimming lessons at the Kiama Leisure Centre

What we offer...

  • Hourly rate of $36.38 inclusive of 25% casual loading
  • Plus 11.5% superannuation 

What you'll need to be successful in the role...

  • A current AUSTSWIM, Royal Life Saving or Swimming Australia certificate with a valid CPR qualification.
  • Completed or be willing and able to complete the Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics (INF) within 3 months of commencement.
  • Minimum 20 hours experience as a Swimming Instructor working with children of various age groups, effectively teaching a variety of swimming strokes.
  • Understanding of the principles of child learning
  • The ability to instruct water survival techniques.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
