LET THE JOURNEY BEGIN

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Occupational Therapist to join our team in Macquarie Park or Mascot, specialising in returning injured clients to work. You'll conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities, both in the workplace and at home, to develop personalised treatment plans aimed at achieving a safe return to work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing injured workers to determine the best way to help them get back to work.
  • Visiting workplaces to gain an understanding of what challenges an injured worker may face and educating workplaces on how to prevent workplace injuries.
  • Providing clinical opinions and justification through report writing.
  • Assessment of daily living activities
  • Case managing complex injuries and liaising with treating doctors and health professionals to help an injured worker recover and get back to work. 

In this diverse and exciting position, you'll collaborate with and oversee other practitioners, taking ultimate responsibility for delivering injury prevention services, such as:

  • Pre-Employment Assessments including drug & alcohol, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing.
  • Job dictionary is a detailed document outlining the essential duties, physical demands, and cognitive requirements of a specific job, crucial for assessing a client's suitability for return to work in workplace rehabilitation.
  • Manual Task Risk Assessments.
  • Interactive Manual Handling Training and Stretching and Warm Up programs.
  • Workplace-based, home-based and vehicle based ergonomic assessments.
