KINNECT are currently recruiting for several Workplace Rehabilitation Consultants across Australia including both city and regional locations across all states. The life of a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant is diverse, no two days are ever the same and what is rewarding about it the major impact you can have on our clients and their families’ lives – never underestimate the power of helping a client back to work! 

As a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant at KINNECT, your role will be diverse, offering a wide range of responsibilities across workplace rehabilitation and injury prevention services. 

• A key aspect of your role will involve delivering workplace rehabilitation services that help individuals engage in meaningful occupations through a client-centered approach, promoting optimal health and well-being. Your duties will include: 
• Assessing injured workers to determine the best strategies for facilitating their return to work. 
• Visiting workplaces to understand the challenges injured workers may face and educating employers on injury prevention. 
• Providing clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing. 
• Case managing complex injuries and coordinating with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work. 

In addition to rehabilitation services, you will partner with various organizations to deliver a range of other services, such as: 

• Conducting pre-employment assessments, including drug & alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing. 
• Developing job dictionaries. 
• Performing manual task risk assessments. 
• Leading interactive manual handling training and implementing stretching and warm-up programs.
• Conducting ergonomic assessments in workplace, home, and vehicle settings.

HOW YOU WILL ADD VALUE 

As a Workplace Rehabilitation professional passionate about helping people, you will bring the following talents and attributes to our team: 

• Professional Accreditation: Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy, physical therapy, or rehabilitation counselling, with the ability to obtain registration with AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC, or RCAA. Accredited Exercise Physiologists should be able to obtain ESSA registration. 
• Experience: Experience working within ACC (NZ accident compensation scheme) is highly desirable. This is also a great opportunity for EPs, Physios, or OTs to enter Workplace Rehabilitation—a challenging yet rewarding career with growth and development opportunities. 
• Analytical Expertise: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
