We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Governance Manager at KINNECT to drive quality, compliance, and operational excellence in occupational health services. 

LET THE JOURNEY BEGIN

At KINNECT, we are committed to leading the way in Occupational Health services. Due to an upcoming retirement, we have an exciting opening for a Clinical Governance Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring our occupational health services meet high-quality standards and legislative requirements while aligning with our business needs for peak operational performance. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and working closely with key stakeholders such as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Occupational Physician (COP), Occupational Health Services Manager, doctors, nurses, and the medical support team, this is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking candidate to shape the role. We are seeking a candidate with a continuous improvement mindset who is technology-savvy. In this multifaceted role, no two days will be the same. 

This hybrid role offers flexibility and can be based in any one of our offices across Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Refines, enhances, and implements the clinical governance framework and priorities set by the Board, overseeing the policies, and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. in legislation and healthcare standards.
  • Build capability in our medical support team to enable them to meet our customers’ needs  
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes, interpret their implications for KINNECT, and implement necessary adjustments in policy, procedure and system (Carelever).  
  • Ensure compliance readiness for external audits and liaise with auditors and regulators.  
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology, including our Carelever system, to enhance pre-employment and health surveillance service delivery and translate legislative changes into sustainable operational practices.  
  • Identify, assess, and manage clinical risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Implement training programs for our occupational health team, including doctors, registered nurses, and medical support staff, related to pre-employment and health surveillance services.  
  • Oversee the investigation of clinical incidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken and lessons are learned.

What will you bring to the role: 

  • Experience in clinical governance within occupational health service provision is essential 
  • Bachelor’s degree in any health discipline, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record in conducting audits and driving quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, essential for engaging with stakeholders, collaborating with teams, and advocating for operational excellence in occupational health.
  • Experience in writing and developing policies to ensure compliance and best practices across clinical governance.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to drive process improvement using technology, leveraging systems such as our Care Lever platform.
