We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Occupational Therapist to join our high-performing team based in South Melbourne.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing injured or ill workers to determine the best way to help them get back to work.
- Visiting workplaces to understand what challenges an injured or ill worker may face and educating them on how to overcome them.
- Case managing complex injuries and liaising with treating doctors and health professionals to help an injured or ill worker recover and get back to work.
- Providing clinical opinions and justification through report writing.
- Activity of daily living assessments.
In this diverse and exciting position, you'll have the opportunity to deliver injury prevention services, such as:
- Job dictionary assessments to outline the essential duties, physical demands, and cognitive requirements of a specific job.
- Manual task risk assessments.
- Interactive manual handling training and stretching and warm up programs.
- Workplace-based, home-based and vehicle based ergonomic assessments.
- Pre-employment assessments including drug & alcohol, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing.
