Internal Expressions of Interest – Lead Psychologist

We are seeking expressions of interest from internal candidates for the Lead Psychologist position. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role offers a unique opportunity to balance your existing Workplace Rehabilitation responsibilities and knowledge with a dedicated 3 hours per week in the Lead Psychologist role.

KINNECT is looking for an experienced Registered Psychologist to support the Chief Operating Officer in:

  • Supporting provisional psychologists at KINNECT to obtain their full registration as a psychologist whilst working at KINNECT
  • Supporting KINNECT psychologists in their learning, development and connection within KINNECT and applying this effectively to their service provision
  • Further developing and promoting KINNECT’s psychological service offering
  • Increasing KINNECT’s psychological referrals
  • Supporting and facilitating the attraction and retention of psychologists within KINNECT and assisting with strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and facilitation of a Psychologist Group Chat on Teams
  • Leading a monthly Psychologist meeting with a structured agenda
  • Coordination of topics and speakers aimed at developing KINNECT psychologists in their delivery of services for KINNECT
  • Supporting KINNECT psychologists with case queries, problem solving, case reviews and report QAs where appropriate and of value
  • Supporting new graduate psychologists participating in KINNECT’s new graduate program in partnership with the New Graduate Program Lead
  • Assisting with the development of resources, templates, tools and procedures for the effective delivery of KINNECT psychological services in collaboration with the Operational Excellence Manager and Chief Operating Officer
  • Identifying potential new service areas and opportunities for psychologists within KINNECT with the KINNECT Leadership Team
  • Assisting in the development of a holistic provisional psychologist support pathway within KINNECT, in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer

About you:

We are looking for a motivated professional who meets the following criteria

  • Registered Psychologist
  • Senior Rehabilitation Consultant (Scorecard 3.1 or higher desirable as the Lead Psychologist duties align well with the higher duties detailed in these scorecard levels)
  • Emerging Leadership Program (ELP) Alumni highly regarded
  • Familiar with KINNECT systems, processes and culture
  • Experienced in KINNECT’s psychological service offering
  • Working knowledge of the AHPRA 5+1 pathway and requirements for provisional psychologists to become fully registered
  • Working knowledge of AHPRA registration requirements for psychologists and ongoing professional development needs, including how KINNECT’s service offering and workplace rehabilitation services meet these needs
  • Proven ability to guide, mentor, and support colleagues effectively
  • Evidence of leadership and influencing skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, flexibility, and adaptability to handle varied tasks
  • Passionate about the role of psychologists in workplace rehabilitation and the Health Benefits of Good Work.
