Depending on your experience, you can join as:
- Junior Consultant: Build your skills with structured mentoring and support.
- Senior Consultant: Take on complex cases and mentor junior team members.
- Lead Consultant: Balance leadership responsibilities such as mentoring, quality assurance, and account management with hands-on case management.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEAD WORKPLACE REHABILITATION CONSULTANT
Managing a Caseload of Clients: Maintain a caseload of clients requiring workplace rehabilitation services. Conduct thorough assessments, implement personalised case strategies and monitor client progress.
Quality Assurance: Conduct peer reviews of case strategy and documentation to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory standards. Provide training and resources to address any identified gaps.
Mentoring: Provide guidance, support and mentorship to junior consultants within KINNECT. Share expertise, best practices and clinical insights to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
In addition to workplace rehabilitation services, there are opportunities to partner with various organisations to deliver a range of other services, such as:
- Conducting ergonomic assessments in the workplace, home, and vehicle settings.
- Developing job dictionaries.
- Performing manual task risk assessments.
- Leading interactive manual handling training programs.
- Delivering Pre-Employment assessments, both within the clinic, and onsite at Employer workplaces.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Current registration with AHPRA and ESSA is essential.
- A minimum of three years’ experience working within the Western Australian Workers’ Compensation scheme, either in Workplace Rehabilitation or Claims Management.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing rehabilitation plans and implementing evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a compassionate and client-centred approach to service delivery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
