About the Opportunity
KINNECT is a rapidly growing workplace rehabilitation and occupational health provider, and we are looking for a General Manager - Occupational Health to join our executive team.
This is a newly defined executive role created to drive the next chapter of growth across our national Occupational Health business. You will lead a multi-state operation spanning sales, clinical service delivery, customer service, bookings, results, affiliate clinics and occupational health project work, working alongside a talented executive team and reporting directly to the CEO.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. We’re flexible on location, you can be based in any Australian capital city, with hybrid working available and travel to KINNECT sites and key clients as required.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be accountable for:
- Delivering revenue and profitability targets across the national occupational health portfolio
- Leading operational excellence by ensuring bookings, turnaround times, and clinic availability consistently meet or exceed targets across all sites
- Owning the customer experience for all stakeholders
- Building, coaching and holding accountable a high-performing leadership team of Sales, Regional Managers, Medical Support, Customer Service, Bookings and Results leaders
- Partnering with the Chief Medical Officer and Quality & Governance Lead to uphold clinical service quality and risk and clinical governance standards
- Identifying, sponsoring and embedding AI-driven transformation opportunities that deliver measurable commercial and operational value
- Launching new occupational health products and services in line with our strategic growth agenda
- Working closely with the executive team to deliver KINNECT’s strategic plan
About You
You are a commercially sharp, people-first executive who thrives on building accountable, efficient teams and delivering results without compromising on quality or culture. Occupational health experience is preferred, but we are equally interested in senior operational leaders from broader healthcare or service-based businesses who can demonstrate the right outcomes.
As General Manager – Occupational Health, your talents and attributes will include:
- Proven experience leading a multi-site, multi-disciplinary operation, ideally in occupational health, allied health, primary care or another clinical or service-based business
- A strong commercial track record, including ownership of a P&L, hitting growth and margin targets, and managing wage-cost ratios in a service business
- Strategic thinking paired with operational discipline
- A demonstrated ability to hold people accountable, develop leaders, and have the difficult conversations when they’re needed
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI and technology as enablers of better service, better margins and stronger career pathways, with the willingness to personally sponsor that change
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust quickly with Tier 1 employer clients, regulators and internal teams
- Tertiary qualifications in business, health, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications and a current driver’s licence are highly regarded
- Existing relationships in the occupational health or broader workplace health and safety sector are highly regarded but not essential
