Your Graduate Pathway to Success

Our 12-month Graduate Program is your stepping stone to a rewarding career as a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant, and a permanent role at KINNECT.

As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, you'll support injured workers through the psychosocial and vocational aspects of recovery and return to work. You'll develop the skills to:

  • Assess psychosocial, vocational and environmental factors impacting an injured worker's recovery
  • Provide counselling and goal-setting support to address barriers to return to work
  • Develop individualised return-to-work plans alongside employers, insurers and treating practitioners
  • Identify new employment goals through vocational counselling and assessment, and support job-seeking aligned to capacity and the local labour market
  • Case manage complex claims with clear, comprehensive reporting
  • Monitor progress and adjust strategies to achieve successful return-to-work outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation aligned to professional and regulatory standards

Who Should Apply

  • A Rehabilitation Counsellor who holds or is eligible for registration with ASORC (Full) or RCCAA (Full) by commencement
  • Passionate about Workplace Rehabilitation and making a meaningful impact
  • A strong communicator who thrives in a multidisciplinary team
  • A confident problem-solver who works well in a dynamic environment
  • The holder of a full, valid Australian driver's licence
  • Bonus: prior experience in vocational counselling, employment services or workplace rehabilitation.
