We currently have an opportunity for a dedicated and empathetic Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant to join our close-knit team of 5 in Townsville. As a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant at KINNECT you will play a crucial role in facilitating recovery and return to work for individuals facing physical and/or psychological challenges in the workplace. This is a diverse opportunity working across a range of industries from mining, childcare, health and more. The role provides unparalleled variety across workplace rehabilitation and injury prevention services.

Central to your role, will be the delivery of Workplace rehabilitation services assisting individuals to engage in meaningful occupations through a client-centred approach, enabling optimal health and wellbeing.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WORKPLACE REHAB CONSULTANT

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' functional abilities, work capacities, and barriers to return to work.
  • Develop customised rehabilitation plans tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of each individual.
  • Collaborate closely with employers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate effective rehabilitation strategies.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout their rehabilitation journey, addressing any concerns or obstacles that may arise.
  • Monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions, adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist.
  • Experience in vocational rehabilitation or related field in a corporate or clinical setting is desirable.
  • Proficiency in conducting functional assessments, developing rehabilitation plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients and stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a compassionate and client-centred approach to service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
