LET THE JOURNEY BEGIN
- Participate in a 12-month new graduate program, where you and a cohort of other graduates get the opportunity to learn from industry experts and network with each other.
- Join a team of experienced allied health professionals, ensuring that support is always on hand.
- Participate in a program that is discipline specific whilst working within a multidisciplinary team.
Working in the community, you will assist individuals to engage in meaningful occupations through a client-centred approach, which enables optimal health and wellbeing. Some of your duties will include:-
- Assessing injured workers to determine the best way to help them get back to work.
- Providing clinical opinions and justification.
- Case managing complex injuries and liaising with treating doctors and health professionals to help an injured worker recover and get back to work.
- Working with insurers to provide job seeking and job placement services for injured workers.
- Completing vocational or transferrable skills assessment for workers.
- Delivering Adjustment to Injury Counselling, and Vocational Counselling to provide worker’s with the coping strategies required to succeed in their return to work.
- Visiting workplaces to gain an understanding of what challenges an injured worker may face and educating workplaces on how to prevent workplace injuries.
