We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to join our team. At Flagstaff, we are dedicated in providing NDIS programs that include unique training and support for people with a disability across employment and skills development, social Inclusion, and independence building pathways.
The Opportunity
As a Disability Support Worker, you will plan, facilitate, and conduct support and training which directly assists in the development of life and employment skills. In this role, you will be directly involved with people with a disability delivering supports in a group setting aimed at personal development, developing skills, and promoting community inclusion. You will work in the My Life department where we offer group activities such as hands on experience in cooking, coffee making, 3D printing or maybe you have a talent or skill that you could turn into a course yourself. This is a Part-time position.
The Ideal Candidate
- Have the ability to display excellent soft skills such as team work, communication, critical thinking and adaptability, all whilst juggling multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with anyone regardless of their role and/or social standing;
- Working autonomously to provide appropriate levels of support to maintain and improve the client's level of independence. This may include community participation, skill building, vocational preparation, relationship building, and various other needs;
- Complete accurate records of activities via progress notes;
- You will be required to obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children's Check, NDIS Worker Screen and a First Aid Certificate;
- You will also be required to have a drivers licence and full vehicle comprehensive insurance.

- Hourly rate: $32.21 - $33.22 + Super
- Part-time: 30.4hrs a week
- Working Days: Tuesday to Saturday
